Action North Recovery Centre is located in High Level, Alberta, Canada, in the northwest corner of the province. The Centre is accessible by daily bus service. As well, ground transportation from either bus or air terminal is provided free of charge by our Centre.

Situated just across the street from the Town's Administrative and Recreational areas, Action North is a short walk for all all recreational and shopping amenities in High Level.

Action North offers comfortable accommodations for inhouse residents, both male and female. A full-time cook provides well balanced nutritious meals and snacks.

Staff

We have a well-experienced and diverse staff who have an extensive knowledge of the addictions field. Many of our staff members are multi-lingual, speaking a number of languages including Cree and Dene. The counselling staff has extensive training and development and are experts in many areas including anger management and emotional release facilitation.

Recreation

Action North clients benefit from on-site recreational equipment, including pool table, outdoor volleyball court, weight lifting equipment, as well as board and card games.

Action North has large video and book libraries for use by the clients. Movie rentals are available off-site and Action North residents have access to the High Level Public Library.

Clients are granted complimentary passes to the local swimming pool and arena at specific times. Local jam sessions and sober dances are also available.
